The Operations Security Analyst/Specialist protects client, employee, and company data across our cloud stack (Google Workspace, Slack, Dropbox, etc.) by owning identity, device, and data controls. You’ll make access simple and secure, keep laptops healthy, tighten how we share information, and keep us audit-ready.
Who You Are: You are a detail-oriented operations professional who values clean systems, clear access, and well-run tools. You approach security with a practical mindset, helping teams work efficiently while maintaining strong controls as the organization scales.
This is a hybrid position. You will work from our Sacramento office 3 days per week. Enjoy weekly team lunches and collaboration with a team of savvy digital public affairs professionals. Unearth is a customer service organization for advocacy campaigns, which means the work may require early morning, evening, and weekend availability.
Expectations & Core Activities
Identity, Access, and Device Management: Own user access and device controls, including onboarding and offboarding, authentication, macOS management, and software license tracking.
SaaS Security & Data Protection: Maintain security, retention, and sharing settings across core tools, and review connected apps and permissions.
Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor alerts, serve as the first point of contact for device and access issues, resolve routine problems, and elevate or document incidents as needed.
Audits, Compliance, and Documentation: Run regular access and device audits, maintain audit-ready documentation, and support security and compliance requests.
Training, Enablement, and Process Improvement: Support secure workflows through documentation, training, phishing awareness, and ongoing process improvements.
