About Forage Forage is building the modern payments stack that powers inclusive commerce. What We Are Looking For We seek an experienced Mobile Engineer with a strong background in building comprehensive user solutions and frontend infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of mobile development experience, ideally in React Native, and will have built a React Native app from scratch or significantly contributed to a production app. You will lead large‑scale projects for our app for EBT shoppers, which allows them to check their SNAP balance, collect rewards and more. You will ship critical projects, establish best practices for frontend development, improve frontend infrastructure and tooling, balance business priorities with user experience and technical sustainability, and influence our technical vision. Qualifications
3+ years of mobile engineering experience building end‑to‑end user solutions Experience in React Native, especially having built an app from scratch Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives within your team, mentoring engineers, contributing to roadmap discussions, and independently driving complex projects from design through execution
Key Responsibilities
Lead large multi‑engineer projects for the Forage EBT Shopper app. Balance business priorities, user experience, and technical sustainability in trade‑offs when prioritizing feature requests and engineering improvements. Influence frontend development at Forage by sharing technical vision and providing guidance. Improve frontend infrastructure and tooling to make teammates more effective. Mentor teammates and others around frontend best practices.
Our Offer This role is Hybrid in New York only. We define hybrid as 2‑3 days in office.
