Smashing Dishes, the newest brand from Tony Caters, has a terrific opening for a Sales Executive. Founded in 2009, Tony Caters is a dynamic, well-regarded off-site catering company that serves the South Bay and the greater Bay Area. We also have cafes located inside the Tech Interactive Museum in downtown San Jose and at the Winchester Mystery House. About the role This position takes start-to-finish lead on the sales cycle for a portfolio of catered events, under the direction of the department manager. The Sales Executive is tasked with a limited outbound sales effort with existing and select new clients to grow the business and meet sales revenue targets. The role requires a candidate who can manage internal documentation, timely client communication, and coordinate across all departments (culinary, production, clerical). The ideal candidate will maintain high levels of organization, communication and customer service for the lifecycle of an event (from proposal to final payment and post-event feedback). Responsibilities
Lead Management: respond promptly to inbound leads, schedule discovery calls (for yourself or other team members), and maintain accurate records in the CRM software Proposal Creation & Maintenance: assist in drafting and formatting proposals, pricing consistency, timely delivery, appropriate follow up and revisions Confirm that retainer, final and post-event payments are completed by the client Input external data (Wedding Wire, The Knot, etc.) into the CRM software Maintain and audit digital files for events, clients, venues and vendor partners Communicate and coordinate with all departments as required to move through the sales cycle to ensure client vision and event objectives are communicated and executed Maintain a deep understanding of our menus (seasonal and year-round), the breadth of offerings with exclusive and preferred venue partnerships, and custom initiatives for high-profile events Support the sales team in executing special projects, including trend analysis, design mockups with production, sourcing vendors for specialty items or services, and tracking viable past and lost clients for future business development Support Business Development effort with the sales cycle for sponsored events, familiarization tastings, showcases, etc.
