The Job at a Glance Our Enterprise Application Solution Architect is the visionary connector between business strategy and technical execution. In this role you will design and own the end‑to‑end SAP application architecture that powers our rapidly scaling operations. You will translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions across ERP, CRM, logistics, data platforms, and their integration. You will collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure our systems grow with us. Though your primary lens is architectural, you will bring hands‑on expertise across multiple SAP modules to guide solution design decisions that are innovative and pragmatic. A Typical Day
Define and govern the overall application solution architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, technology standards, and business goals. Partner with business stakeholders and IT leadership to translate high‑level requirements into architecture blueprints, solution designs, and roadmaps. Lead architecture design sessions and workshops, driving decisions on system integration, data flows, and module interactions across SAP S/4HANA SD, MM, PP, FI/CO, GTS, and adjacent platforms. Evaluate, recommend, and oversee the adoption of new SAP capabilities including S/4HANA, BTP, and cloud‑native extensions. Author and maintain architecture artifacts such as Solution Architecture Documents, Integration Architecture Diagrams, Design Documents, and ADRs. Serve as the technical authority and escalation point for SAP delivery teams, guiding engineers, configurators, and ABAP developers. Identify and address architectural risks, technical debt, and process optimization opportunities across the SAP landscape. Collaborate with external partners, system integrators, and SAP representatives to ensure solutions meet best practices and licensing considerations.
To Land This Opportunity
Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise application design, with at least 4 years in an architecture or lead architect role across large‑scale SAP implementations. Deep functional and/or technical expertise across at least two core SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, FI/CO, GTS, WM/EWM) at an architectural level. Experience with SAP S/4HANA strongly preferred, including greenfield or brownfield migrations. Hands‑on S/4HANA implementation or conversion project leadership. Experience with cloud‑native architecture and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred, focusing on SAP RISE Private Cloud. Demonstrable experience designing integration architectures using IDOCs, ODATA, CXML, CSV, REST/SOAP APIs, RFC calls, Datasphere/BCP, and SAP BTP/CPI. Experience architecting solutions for complex distribution or manufacturing environments, including multi‑plant scenarios, order routing, cross‑border trade, and global compliance. Ability to apply common Enterprise Integration Patterns and Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or SAP EA Framework. Experience guiding ABAP development teams; direct ABAP development experience is a significant plus. Skilled at producing architecture and design documentation that is technically precise and accessible to non‑technical stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a history of influencing executive and business leadership. Working understanding of core international business processes: sales order management, procurement, distribution logistics, trade compliance, and financial controls. Ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities concurrently without losing the big architectural picture. Experience defining integration testing strategies and facilitating user acceptance testing for SAP solution deliverables. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). Collaborative mindset and eagerness to share new concepts and ideas—SAP is a team sport here.
