Job Description Parsons is a leader in delivering cutting‑edge solutions for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. Our Space Operations directorate is passionate about making America the undisputed leader in space. We look for an experienced DevSecOps engineer with an enterprise software deployment background who can work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
You will be a member of a talented Agile engineering team supporting the development of critical mission applications for the space community. You will work with software engineers and data scientists to support the development, testing, security and deployment of operational machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions for our Space Force customers.
Responsibilities
Support and troubleshoot deployment, security, and operation of mission‑critical software.
Collaborate with engineers and data scientists on Agile development cycles.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
Ensure compliance with security standards and perform vulnerability assessments.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with at least 2 years of technical experience. Relevant training or certifications may substitute for the degree.
Active Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance. US citizenship required.
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Nexus, Artifactory, Jenkins, GitLab).
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
Strong ability to support and troubleshoot Linux/Unix operating systems.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, flexible environment and proactive learning new tools quickly.
Desired Skills
Familiarity with AWS (preferred) or Azure managed cloud services.
Experience with IaC tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform.
Experience with static code analysis tools (e.g., Coverity, Fortify).
Relational database development experience.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
Knowledge of software engineering and programming concepts.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner).
Security Clearance Requirement An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.
Salary & Benefits Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
