Information Technology Analyst
Your specific responsibilities include participating in and coordinating joint application design sessions with development teams to represent the interests of business stakeholders and subject matter experts. Facilitate business requirements gathering sessions, ensure a defined agenda is communicated to participants, and ensure a common understanding of terms and definitions. Perform validation of documented business requirements against business processes and verification of developed software against business requirements and technical specifications through user acceptance testing. Define and document functional specifications and software test plans. Identify, document, and submit opportunities for improving the efficiency of workflows represented within the software and increasing ease of software enhancements. Prepare and submit end user documentation for training and assistance. Provide support daily for the Department's electronic health record and patient portal, related systems and downstream consumers of Department data. Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include proficient computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; knowledge of monitoring processes and/or working with ticketing software; knowledge of computer data bases; knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures and government rules & regulations; knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar; understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents; communicating effectively with others verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; listening to what other people are saying and asking questions as appropriate; conduct fact-finding research; knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis; organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials; knowing how to find information and identifying essential information; finding ways to structure or classify multiple pieces of information; ability to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments; ability to work independently; ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and close attention to detail; ability to maintain confidentiality; knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of software configuration and release management; knowledge of software architecture, analysis, design, coding and testing; knowledge of computer programming languages; ability to write, code, test and debug computer programs; ability to communicate technical data processing information effectively. Qualifications include preferred: an associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study; and at least two years of professional experience in an Information Technology related role to include process documentation; troubleshooting; technical support. Minimum: at least four years of professional experience in an Information Technology related role to include process documentation; troubleshooting; technical support.
