Job Description GliaCell is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer for a full-time position supporting a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.
Responsibilities
Design, provision, and maintain scalable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) architectures utilizing Terraform.
Architect, implement, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines within GitLab to ensure fast, secure, and reliable software delivery.
Deploy, manage, and scale cloud-native environments.
Partner closely with software engineering teams to streamline deployments, resolve pipeline bottlenecks, and enforce operational best practices.
Key Requirements To be considered for this position you must have the following:
Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship.
Professional/Education experience: 12 years & Bachelors of Science Degree, or 4 additional years in place of a BS Degree.
Works well independently as well as on a team.
Strong communication skills.
Required Skills
Terraform Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience writing, deploying, and managing production-grade infrastructure using Terraform, including deep knowledge of state management and modularity.
GitLab Mastery: Extensive experience building and maintaining complex, automated CI/CD pipelines specifically using GitLab.
Cloud-Native Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, encompassing containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and major cloud platforms.
Systems Administration: Solid grasp of Linux systems, cloud networking, and security principles.
Desired Skills
API & SDK Tooling: Experience working with OpenAPI specifications and a background in generating, publishing, or managing SDKs to improve developer integrations.
Python Proficiency: Scripting and programming skills in Python for custom automation, building internal tooling, or interacting with cloud APIs.
Observability Experience: Familiarity with setting up and tuning modern monitoring, alerting, and logging stacks.
Location Columbia, MD (onsite full time)
Salary Range The salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 to $280,000. Within the range, your salary is determined by your individual benefits package selection. Sign-on bonus eligible.
