Salary: $4,935.00–$8,740.00 per month. New to state candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification.
Hybrid work setting; telework possible.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, implement, and document complex data solutions and projects.
Serve as technical authority in the development of data‑centric solutions to support the Chancellor’s Office and California Community College system.
Collaborate with IT, business partners, and stakeholders to design and develop large‑scale data systems and infrastructure.
Document data collection, warehousing, and reporting systems.
Perform data architecture activities, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data frameworks.
Provide support for project management practices and techniques.
Create clear documentation, presentations, and training as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proficiency with data architecture and design.
Experience with SQL and Microsoft databases (Azure SQL, SQL Server).
Knowledge of Microsoft development tools (Azure DevOps, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, VB.NET).
Experience in data warehousing, business intelligence reporting, and dashboard development.
Understanding of data integration processes (ELT/ETL).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a hybrid/telework setting within California.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with data architecture activities and artifacts, including analysis, planning, defining, and documenting frameworks.
Experience creating and implementing data management processes and procedures.
Data visualization and integration experience.
Project‑management experience and knowledge of related practices and techniques.
Strong documentation, presentation, and training skills.
Experience working with staff across levels, backgrounds, and technical knowledge to gather requirements and propose data architecture solutions.
