Job Overview Solutions Architects (SA) in VMware by Broadcom provide technical leadership for customers’ strategic IT programs and initiatives. The SA discovers customer needs, architecting and demonstrating the value of VMware by Broadcom’s VMware Cloud Foundations (VCF) solution, and prescribes consumption and future‑state architecture plans for clients’ long‑term success. Responsibilities Lead and work closely with customers, Product Managers, Client Executives, Pre‑Sales peers, extended specialist teams, and VMware by Broadcom’s executive leadership team. Ensure adoption of the VCF solution within assigned accounts. Lead workshops, conduct client interviews, do secondary research, and gather guidance from account teams and industry specialists. Collaborate with technical specialists and product managers. Design customer VCF consumption plans and future‑state architecture. Coordinate solution proposals with potential partners, VARs, and software vendors. Identify, qualify, and prioritize potential opportunity pipelines. Conduct demos and proof of concepts for customers. Maintain expertise of VMware technologies through enablement and internal training. Stay current on industry trends, competitive offerings, and architectures. Success Metrics (First 6‑12 months) Within 3 months: achieve proficiency in VCF product knowledge, networking, troubleshooting, communication, and problem‑solving skills; shadow SA team members. Within 6 weeks: begin working with assigned territory account executives on technical validation efforts; broaden network. Within 9‑12 months: lead technical validations across the VCF solution set and engage in additional projects for personal growth. Required Qualifications BA/BS with 8+ years of Industry Experience or MA/MS with 6+ years of Industry Experience. Eight or more years of IT experience, including team/departmental leadership or pre‑sales customer‑facing experience. Experience developing and implementing business‑aligned IT strategies, architectures, roadmaps, and proposals. Strong listening, consultative, and relationship‑building skills. Ability to present to audiences of varying levels, including executives. Rapid learning and adaptation to new technologies. Broad architectural understanding of IT trends, modernisation technologies, cloud computing, data‑center design, platform design, governance, roles & responsibilities, and business drivers. Preferred Skills Professional experience building solutions with VMware technologies and cloud‑based technologies. Experience with software development tools and methodologies. Solution design, implementation, and consultation experience. Advanced certifications (ITIL, CISSP, VCP, VCDX). Compensation and Benefits The annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 – $172,800. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and equity in accordance with applicable plans and agreements.
