Part of the Crew Planning team within the Integrated Operations Division.
Analyze pilot training data, automate Excel processes with SQL, build predictive models, and create dashboards for executive leaders. Provide research and project management support for data analytics, including research, design, implementation, and analysis.
What you'll do
Develop predictive models on large-scale datasets using statistical modeling (linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, and other machine learning or data mining techniques).
Develop data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
Promote data-driven decision making and identify business opportunities with quantified impacts.
Automate and improve processes, reports, and forecasts using Excel VBA, SQL, Databricks, Alteryx or similar tools.
Obtain, manipulate, clean, and analyze large structured and unstructured data from diverse sources; develop models to drive value for the department.
Identify relationships across data domains to improve operations and provide project management for data and analytical needs within the department.
Analyze data using various statistical methods to understand key themes; conduct analyses and create reports with findings, charts, and tables.
Contribute to project deliverables by synthesizing key findings; maintain awareness of industry best practices for qualitative research.
All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or equivalent experience.
3 years of experience in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or related field.
Experience managing multiple significant cross-functional projects in parallel.
Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Databricks, Alteryx, Power BI, etc.
Proficiency in SQL or other programming languages.
Advanced analytical skills and knowledge of the airline industry.
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Proficiency in SQL and VBA; strong MS Office skills and ability to match tools to deliverables.
Logical analysis, problem identification and solving skills.
Ability to present ideas clearly, both formally and informally; strong interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinking with a customer service orientation; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivation, ability to prioritize, and manage multiple projects; ability to deliver high-quality work on time.
Excellent presentation skills and ability to lead collaborative teamwork.
