Java Backend Developer (W2 Contract – Local to NJ Only) Location: Parsippany, NJ (Onsite – In-Person Required)
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Duration: 12+ Months
Rate: Up to $60/hr (W2)
Experience: Minimum 10+ years
Job Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Java Backend Developer to join our client team in Parsippany, NJ . This role is fully onsite , requiring strong in-person collaboration. The ideal candidate will have deep backend engineering expertise and a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance applications.
Local candidates only. W2 contract.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot .
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, architects, and business stakeholders.
Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, and sprint planning.
Develop reusable, secure, and efficient server-side components.
Integrate backend services with databases, messaging systems, and external services.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance of backend systems.
Develop unit tests, support QA, and maintain technical documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development .
Strong expertise in Spring / Spring Boot , REST APIs, and microservices.
Proficient with relational databases ( Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL , etc.).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven/Gradle.
Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and enterprise application architecture.
Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Must be able to work 100% onsite in Parsippany, NJ .
