Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,250 - $5,620
Location: Silverdale, WA (98383) - Washington healthcare job / PNW opportunity
Setting: 95% Hospital (OR/ICU), 5% Office/Clinic
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Duration: 6-9 months (locum tenens)
Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts; varied schedule
Hours per Week: 36
On Call: Yes (1-2 weekdays and weekends; night call 5pm-7am)
Job Requirements / Qualifications Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Cardiothoracic Surgery / Cardiothoracic NP or Acute Care NP preferred
Washington state NP license highly preferred; candidates obtaining WA licensure during credentialing will be considered
Minimum of 1 year of cardiothoracic surgery experience, including OR and acute care/ICU patient management
Ability to assist in surgery, perform rounds, and provide clinic support as needed
Familiarity with EPIC EMR system (EPIC experience preferred)
Clean malpractice/background preferred; Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of application (required)
Strong collaboration skills with physicians, midlevels, and ancillary staff
Core Responsibilities Assist in general cardiothoracic/thoracic surgery, including open procedures in the OR
Participate in coronary artery bypass surgery (on pump) and valvular repair/replacement cases
Preferred skills: aneurysm repair (cardiac and aorto-thoracic), lung resection (including VATS), chest wall/pleural procedures
Manage LVAD patients, ventilation strategies, and acute volume/BP issues in ICU and acute care settings
Perform insertion of central lines and provide perioperative and postoperative care
Support clinic and hospital teams with rounding, admissions, and continuity of care for adult cardiac surgery patients
