JOB SUMMARY
The Tech Aide I is a functional position accountable to the basic standard of practice as defined in the Patient Care Standards. Secures appropriate equipment when asked. Participates as a member of the patient care team following completion of the formalized orientation program. Assists Imaging Associates, i.e. functions as an Aide upon request. This includes transporting Imaging patients to all modalities (sans MRI) and assisting in physically moving patients to and from Imaging equipment. Computer knowledge required to coordinate transports using worklist and tracking board. Ability to observe and obtain information,( lab results, use of Telepak in ED) understand the range of treatment needed by patients, and report significant findings to the appropriate care givers to assure that the appropriate care is provided to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Ability to observe and obtain information, understanding the range of treatment needed by the patient. Must be flexible with work assignments. Operates all equipment in reference to patient needs including stretchers, wheelchairs and Oxygen tanks. Additional Information
