Description
Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational strategies. Craft tailored treatment programs that cater to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties. Engage with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to formulate unified care plans. Provide education and resources to patients and their families to foster progress outside the clinical environment. Support the provision of occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain a seamless continuum of care. Ensure comprehensive and timely documentation in compliance with all applicable state, federal, and organization standards. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and peer collaboration. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hire. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for all demographics, coupled with a strong understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills, fostering collaboration with patients, families, and various healthcare team members.
