Dogwood Veterinary Specialty & Emergency is expanding to the Atlanta (Dunwoody), GA area in 2026, and we are seeking an experienced Veterinary Neurology Technician to join our founding specialty team.
This is an advanced, specialty-level role designed for technicians who thrive in neurology, anesthesia, and high-acuity patient care. You'll work alongside board-certified neurologists and specialty clinicians, supporting complex cases ranging from IVDD and seizures to intracranial surgery and advanced imaging.

What You'll Actually Work On IVDD surgical cases and post-operative recovery
Seizure management and neurologic emergency stabilization
MRI/CT workflows and advanced diagnostic imaging
Neurosurgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring

Opening 2026 | Hiring Timeline: Spring-Summer 2026Neurology Technician Responsibilities As a Veterinary Neurology Technician, you will be a key clinical partner in patient care before, during, and after neurologic procedures.
Neurology & Patient Care Assist with neurologic exams and patient assessments
Monitor patients with seizures, IVDD, paresis/paralysis, and complex neurologic conditions
Provide high-level nursing care for pre- and post-operative patients
Help guide long-term neurologic case management and client education
Anesthesia & Procedural Support Perform advanced anesthesia induction, intubation, and monitoring
Monitor using ECG, capnography, pulse oximetry, IBP/NIBP, and temperature
Assist with neurosurgery and advanced imaging procedures (MRI/CT)
Manage ventilated patients when applicable
Adjust anesthetic depth in high-risk neurologic cases
Diagnostics & Imaging Support MRI/CT workflows and patient preparation
Assist with CSF taps and neurologic diagnostics
Ensure safe positioning and imaging protocols
Critical Care Collaboration Partner with ER and ICU teams for continuity of care
Assist in stabilization of neurologic emergencies
Participate in CPR/code response (RECOVER guidelines preferred)
Clinical Excellence Maintain accurate, detailed medical records
Uphold sterility and surgical best practices
Manage neurology-specific equipment
Follow hospital protocols and safety standards
Who We're Looking ForRequired Experience 2+ years in:
Specialty, ER, ICU, or high-acuity veterinary practice
Strong background in:
Anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing
Experience with:
Advanced monitoring equipment and critical patient care
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) highly valued, not required Experience in neurology, neurosurgery, or advanced imaging (MRI/CT)
Ventilator and critical care experience
RECOVER CPR certification
Advanced training in anesthesia or ECC
