Job Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient evaluations, which include physical examinations and comprehensive medical history assessments Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions by analyzing imaging results and laboratory tests Work in close partnership with surgeons to formulate and implement individualized surgical treatment plans Provide intraoperative assistance, including preparing the surgical environment, ensuring appropriate patient positioning, and handling surgical instruments during operations Offer outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, which includes administering medications, managing wound care, planning patient discharges, and engaging in patient education Education
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program Preferably, completed clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgery Certifications
Current and valid PA-C certification Required certifications in BLS and ACLS State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant Skills
Comprehensive knowledge of surgical practices and sterile techniques Proven capability in interpreting diagnostic tests and contributing to complex clinical decisions Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities Competence in high-stakes environments, particularly during surgical procedures A compassionate bedside manner and deep respect for the dignity and autonomy of patients Benefits
