Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering essential diagnostics, and crafting tailored care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions collaboratively or independently (depending on your credentials) Instructing patients and families on health maintenance, prevention strategies, and effective disease management Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your licensing framework Engaging in patient follow-up care and ongoing chronic disease management Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Mandatory Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Louisiana National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a relevant specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to acquire these within 90 days) Attributes That Make You Stand Out
