Care Alliance Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to help deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient primary care setting. About the Role The Medical Assistant provides both clinical and administrative support to the care team. This role is responsible for preparing patients for visits, collecting and documenting clinical information, supporting providers during exams and procedures, and helping ensure smooth daily clinic flow. What You'll Do Key responsibilities include:
Greet and assist patients in a professional, respectful, and culturally responsive manner.
Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and current medications.
Ensure accurate patient demographic and clinical information is documented.
Assist with patient intake and discharge processes.
Support providers during examinations and procedures.
Administer medications and immunizations as directed by a provider and within scope of practice.
Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens.
Conduct basic laboratory tests as appropriate.
Explain treatment instructions, medications, and care plans to patients as directed by the provider.
Accurately document patient information, test results, and care activities in the electronic health record.
Support coding and documentation processes for billing and insurance purposes.
Clean, disinfect, and prepare exam rooms and equipment between patients.
Maintain organized, safe, and stocked clinical workspaces.
Support patient flow to ensure timely and efficient care delivery.
Communicate patient concerns, needs, or changes in condition to appropriate staff.
Participate in team huddles and daily clinic operations.

Work Environment This role operates in a clinical environment with frequent interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, move throughout the clinic, assist patients as needed, and manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent patient care and service. Travel between clinic sites may be required based on organizational needs. Requirements What We're Looking For We are looking for a Medical Assistant who provides care with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and certification
One to two years of recent experience in a medical or clinical setting
Understanding of patient care practices, medical terminology, and clinical procedures
Basic knowledge of coding procedures, including CPT and ICD-10
Familiarity with clinical pharmacology within scope of practice
Experience with electronic health records, preferably Epic
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in primary care, community health, or ambulatory care
Experience using electronic health records
