Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric to geriatric demographics using both standardized and observational assessment methods. Craft tailored treatment plans that encompass both immediate and long-term communication or swallowing goals. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions for an array of focus areas including articulation, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, as well as patient families, to ensure seamless care delivery. Provide vital education to patients and their families to encourage progress and engagement beyond therapy sessions. Support inpatient speech therapy needs on occasion, ensuring holistic continuity of care. Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly, adhering to all regulatory requirements. Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of innovations in the field. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment. Skills
