Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care plans Diagnosing and treating acute, chronic, or episodic health issues independently or in collaboration with physicians depending on credentialing Providing education to patients and their families on prevention, wellness, and management of diseases Prescribing treatments and medications within your scope of practice Engaging in follow-up and chronic care management for patients Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care Accurately documenting all patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Required Credentials
Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Alaska National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a relevant specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain them within 90 days) Skills That Set You Apart
