Roles & Responsibilities:
Evaluate patient function by performing formal/informal testing measures to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status. Develop and implement goal-specific treatment plans based on assessment data and patient tolerance. Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding pathology, treatment options, and prognosis. Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides in accordance with regulatory standards. Document patient responses to treatment and changes in condition as required by policy and regulatory agencies. Participate in team conferences and interdisciplinary meetings to promote collaborative care.
Compliance / Notes:
Successful completion of facility-specific orientation. Understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, including annual training. Ability to work in an environment where exposure to communicable diseases is possible.
