ResponsibilitiesOwn all aspects of component design from concept to product realizationGenerate detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawingsPerform fluid, thermal, and structural analysis as requiredWork with the team and external sources to procure materials, fabricate parts, and complete assembliesProvide technical support for test operationsResolve technical issues with innovative and resourceful solutions
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering or science3+ years of experience in valve or component designHands-on experience working with fluid and mechanical systemsProficiency in CAD software with ability to learn new toolsCapable of performing structural and thermal analysis in support of designDemonstrated ability in requirements definition, conceptual design, procurement, fabrication, assembly and testing of hardware
Preferred Skills and ExperienceExperience designing and operating high reliability, high performance hardwareExperience with on-orbit propulsion componentsExperience in a startup or agile development environmentAdditional RequirementsFlexible schedule and willing to travel as needed
Additional Information:
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
