Knowledge of Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and patient privacy issues pertaining to the delivery of health care especially in mental health. Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties. Must possess an MD or DO and have a demonstrated career focus in obstetrics. A track record of success and highly regarded peer review is expected. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload. Ability to delegate and empower staff and build strong employee morale. Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of medicine in California as determined by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance Active candidates for this program must be board certified (or active candidates) and shall have ACLS for OB and NRP certification within one year of being hired. At least one year of practice exclusive of internship; and knowledges and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. A demonstrated career focus in obstetrics. A track record of success and highly regarded peer review is expected.
Preferred:
Knowledge of standard hospital policies, procedures and forms. Conceptually understands electronic medical records.
