Job Summary The Licensed Clinician plays a vital role in the delivery of crisis evaluation, stabilization, and withdrawal management services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, the clinician provides assessments, individual and group therapy, family counseling, discharge planning, and other evidence-based interventions. This role supports the overall mission of the Crisis Center through collaborative, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care. Duties and Responsibilities Assessment
Conduct timely, comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments Use multiple sources to inform client-centered treatment planning Apply standardized tools (e.g., Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale) Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and triage decision-making Seek supervision when appropriate
Therapeutic Counseling
Establish therapeutic relationships with clients and families Deliver individual, family, and group counseling using evidence-based practices Provide crisis intervention and document responses to treatment Modify interventions based on clinical feedback Maintain proficiency in mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders Engage clients using trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches
Case Management & Care Planning
Develop and coordinate individualized treatment plans Document goals, objectives, and interventions with clarity and specificity Serve as a resource for internal and external providers Assist in problem-solving for complex cases Ensure timely communication and documentation of referrals, discharges, and service authorizations Facilitate discharge planning, including safety and crisis plans Conduct follow-up calls and complete monitoring notes per policy Act as liaison for community resource engagement
Professional Development
Maintain active licensure and certifications Participate in clinical supervision and continuing education Engage in organizational training initiatives
Qualifications Minimum Requirements
Master's degree in behavioral health and/or social services field Full licensure is required, LPC or LCSW. At least two years of relevant experience Proficiency in computer systems and multitasking
Preferred Qualifications
Independent licensure in Georgia (LCSW or LPC)
Interpersonal Skills
Effective communication with colleagues, clients, families, and external partners Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and populations
Working Conditions
Crisis setting with potential exposure to high-acuity situations May require evening, weekend, holiday, or on-call availability
