Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems. Documenting and calculating results accurately. Taking corrective action when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management. Handling additional assignments as requested.
Working Conditions Environment: Normal for a food manufacturing setting. Physical Requirements: Involves lifting materials and products up to 75 pounds. Safety Equipment: Use of steel-toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses (where required), hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks is required. Restrictions: Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor. Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED. Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience. Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork. Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce. Good problem identification and problem-solving skills. Math and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret product specifications. Must function well under stress. Must have flexibility to work where and when needed. Physical Requirements: Must be willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day. Must work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit. Must be able to work in wet environment. Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling. Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently. Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed. Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification.
