Occupational Therapist Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Occupational Therapist to support students across our component school districts. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students build the skills they need to learn, grow, and thrive. If you're passionate about student-centered practice, value professional autonomy, and enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary educational team, this role offers both purpose and variety. As an Occupational Therapist at BOCES, you will be responsible for the evaluation, planning, and delivery of occupational therapy services in accordance with a written prescription or referral from a physician providing medical direction. Services are provided within educational settings and tailored to meet the individual needs of students. You will receive supervision from a higher-level administrator, with considerable independence in carrying out day-to-day responsibilities. While formal supervision is not a primary function of this role, you will provide oversight and guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapy Aides, and clerical staff assigned to the service. This position offers variety, professional trust, and the opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers across the region. Key responsibilities include:
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with medical referrals and educational goals Provide direct occupational therapy services to students Maintain appropriate documentation and progress reports Collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams Provide instruction and oversight to support staff assigned to occupational therapy services Perform related duties as required
