Job Description The MRI Assistant supports the MRI technologists by assisting with patient preparation, positioning, and ensuring a smooth workflow, while also maintaining equipment and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The responsibilities include:
Patient Care: Assisting with transferring patients to and from the MRI table and other areas. Preparing patients for MRI scans, including explaining procedures and answering questions. Ensuring patient comfort and safety during the procedure. Monitoring patients during the scan. Assisting with patient safety interviews and MRI safety questionnaires. Equipment and Environment: Setting up and cleaning the MRI room and equipment. Maintaining and organizing exam room supplies. Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the imaging environment. Assisting with equipment maintenance. Workflow and Communication: Assisting with patient scheduling and flow. Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Maintaining patient records. Assisting with image processing and archiving.

Technology: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Demonstrated proficiency with EHR is helpful, and NextGen preferred. Attendance/Punctuality: Consistently arrives to work on time. Experience: Previous successful experience in a healthcare clinic/office environment or customer service role preferred, but not required. Education: High School Diploma required.
