Compensation: $75,000 – $300,000 annually
Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and expand sales efforts within the automotive upfitting industry. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, leading a team of outside sales professionals, and strengthening customer relationships across dealer, fleet, and commercial channels.
This role requires a hands‑on leader who can align sales strategy with operational capabilities while ensuring high customer satisfaction and strong team performance in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and develop a team of 8–10 outside sales representatives
Drive revenue growth and ensure achievement of sales targets
Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned to company objectives
Build and maintain relationships with dealers, fleet customers, and commercial accounts
Serve as primary contact for key and strategic customers
Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, engineering, and operations teams to ensure accurate quoting and delivery timelines
Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting
Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and proposal development
Coach, mentor, and train sales staff to improve performance and product knowledge
Track sales metrics and leverage data to drive continuous improvement
Manage CRM and reporting tools, including HubSpot and NetSuite ERP
Participate in trade shows, customer visits, and industry events
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a sales leadership or sales management role
Experience in automotive, manufacturing, upfitting, or related industry preferred
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship‑building abilities
Ability to analyze sales data, forecasts, and market trends
Experience with CRM systems and NetSuite ERP
Understanding of vehicle upfitting, fleet sales, or custom automotive products is a plus
Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
Required Experience
Sales leadership/management: 3+ years preferred
Leadership experience: 5 years required
Automotive dealership experience: 3 years required
