The Portfolio Analytics & Strategy Analyst in PNC’s Data, Modeling & Analytics Home Lending and Decision Science organization will be based in Tysons Corner, VA, Pittsburgh, PA, or Cleveland, OH.
Preferred Skills And Experience
Proficiency in SQL and Python and data visualization using Tableau.
Financial services/banking experience or a degree in Management Information Systems.
Experience supporting Decision Science & Analytics functions for PNC’s Home Lending portfolio (approximately $60B in balance).
Financial and regulatory reporting and analysis for the Home Lending portfolio, presenting monthly results to senior executives.
Proactive credit risk management, connecting portfolio execution to loan-level results identified through ongoing monitoring and ad hoc analysis.
Development of analytical methods/models to assess market, credit, or operational risk of new and existing financial products.
Job Description
Provide financial and regulatory reporting and analysis; run complex business performance, risk, and operational analytics; develop risk assessment models.
Leverage business and product expertise to rigorously analyze large datasets, improve risk‑adjusted returns, and recommend strategies that improve lending decisions and risk management.
Apply predictive models, third‑party data, and other tools to segment and target acquisition and portfolio strategies; manage engagements with information suppliers to ensure fit for purpose.
Collaborate with business, credit, data, and model partners to design, develop, and monitor test designs and analytical reporting; enhance standard reporting suites for regular product and portfolio reviews.
Work with Finance, Risk, and line‑of‑business partners to assess and establish credit risk appetite and develop policies and procedures for risk monitoring and management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
Minimum 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
Strong analytical thinking, credit risk knowledge, data analytics, financial analysis, model development, and quantitative modeling skills.
Knowledge of regulatory environment in financial services and risk management.
Pay Transparency Base Salary: $75,000 – $125,000. Incentive eligible based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
