Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $50.00 – $53.00 per hour
Location: Plymouth/Canton, MI (Primary need in Plymouth, MI)
Onsite – In Person Only
RCM Health Care Services is seeking a full-time School Social Worker to provide in-person services to middle school students in the Plymouth, MI area for the 2026–2027 school year. This role focuses on supporting students’ social-emotional development, conducting assessments, and implementing intervention strategies within a collaborative school setting. Candidates must have experience developing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) and be available for immediate interviews.
Schedule / Shift
- Full-time
- School-year schedule aligned with academic calendar
- Middle school setting
- Immediate start
- Conduct assessments using school records, interviews, and observations to determine student needs
- Develop and implement FBAs and BIPs
- Support students with IEPs and social-emotional learning interventions
- Communicate diagnostic findings and intervention strategies to families, staff, and stakeholders
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop student programs and services
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
- Foster relationships between school, home, and community
Education
- Required: Master’s degree in Social Work
- Required: Valid Michigan Social Worker License
- Required: Approval (or eligibility) as a School Social Worker in Michigan
- Experience writing FBAs and BIPs (required)
- Knowledge of IEP processes and special education services
- Understanding of child development, learning theory, and social-emotional needs
- Experience with MTSS and intervention-based practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret and present diagnostic data clearly
- Collaboration and teamwork within school-based environments
- Knowledge of assessment tools, interventions, and casework practices
