Job Description Job Summary: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. This role requires precise imaging skills and a thorough understanding of radiopharmaceuticals. The technologist ensures patient safety and maintains compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsibilities:
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for imaging procedures. Operate imaging equipment to capture nuclear medicine images accurately. Monitor patient during procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Maintain detailed records of procedures, doses, and patient information. Collaborate with physicians to interpret imaging results. Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards for radiation protection. Qualifications:
Hold a valid state license or certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Possess a degree or certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field. Demonstrate proficiency in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment. Show strong patient communication and assessment skills. Maintain knowledge of radiation safety and compliance standards.
