DescriptionJob Summary: To provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of a computed tomography (CT) scanner for diagnostic and evaluation purposes. Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
Practices proper entries and records on the imaging system and radiology information system. Prepares patient for CT procedure by accurately assessing patient's needs and providing patient education. (See attached age-specific addendum) Operates computed tomography scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction of images, documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images. Prepares patients films for interpretation by radiologist. Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity. Practices safety measures in CT and Environment of Care. Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Performs all duties in which individual is licensed to perform under ARRT guidelines. Performs other related duties as required. Supervision:
Reports To: Site Administrator Required Education / Experience:
Graduate of an accredited radiography program, ARRT registered. One year CT experience or graduate of CT training program with minimum of 500 clinical hours of CT training. CT Certification Equipment:
Standard CT Equipment Office equipment. Working Environment:
Standard Outpatient Center. Or Mobile Unit Some lifting, moving, and positioning of patients and equipment. Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt
