Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Radiologic Mammography Technologist with Dignity Health Medical Foundation, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you will perform mammographic imaging procedures in our outpatient clinics. Every day, you will assist in preparing patients for Radiologic/Mammography examinations and relay instructions from the radiologist, help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions, and collect patient data, documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided in the patient's medical record for the Radiologist’s review. You will also troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures. You may be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed. To be successful in this role, you will need enthusiasm to help others and a desire to have a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families. Job Requirements Required:
High School Graduate General Studies
Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology orequivalent to an AMA Technologic program. Completion of 40 hours of structured education in Mammography.
Medical Radiographer: CA
Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are essential.
Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging, proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment, and radiation safety.
Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS.
Preferred:
One (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist
Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment
Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
