Education High School diploma or GED required. Successful completion of an accredited radiologic technologist training program.
Experience/Training Previous experience in a hospital is desirable. Must have good understanding of the equipment and all procedures performed routinely in a hospital imaging department. Continuing education is necessary. Able to perform x-ray, CT, and/or mammography procedures. Experience with Quality Control, MQSA Requirements, FDA Inspection and ACR Accreditation desirable. Knowledge and experience with implant patients, also desirable. Must have good understanding of quality control tests. Must have documentation of a minimum of 200 mammograms completed within a 24-month period if mammography is second modality for Tech II qualification.
License/Certifications Registration with ARRT "R" plus "M" or documentation or CT proficiency required. Registered or registry eligible for mammography. Licensed RT with the State of Washington. Maintains current American Heart Association BLS certification. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds.
