Patient Care ServicesGathers complete history of patients and perform complete physical examinations or focused physical examinations for specific complaints. Completes discharge summaries and maintains documentation on patient visitsConducts daily patient rounds, as needed
Recognizes and evaluates situations which require immediate attention of supervising physician and which require treatment procedures essential for life of patients; responds in appropriate manner.Coordinates with supervising physician regarding patients seen such as sees patients in physician's office and hospital, instructs and counsels patients on health and disease issues based on assessment data and assists in cardiothoracic surgery when needed.
Follows up with patient by phone (post treatment). Coordinates resources to facilitate care for out-of-town patientsPrescribes and dispenses drugs and medical devices in accordance with regulations established by the Arizona Joint Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners in Medicine and Surgery.Monitors effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and makes appropriate referrals when necessary.Secures patient health illness and psychological history by ordering, performing and interpreting appropriate laboratory, radiographic and other diagnostic tests.
Job Requirements Required
Degree as a Physician Assistant
Three (3) years clinical experience in related area
Physician Assistant ARCEPA
Drug Enforcement Administration-Control Sub Reg Cert: AZ
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support
American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR
