Respiratory Care knowledge and skills: Demonstrates knowledge regarding infant, pediatric and adult pulmonary disease processes and appropriate respiratory care interventions.
Demonstrates knowledge of applicable ventilator modalities and applications in the acute and sub-acute settings.
Demonstrates knowledge of applicable infant and pediatric ventilator modalities and applications in the sub-acute setting.
Demonstrates knowledge of respiratory pharmacology, including recommended dosing, indications, and contraindications of each drug.
Demonstrates knowledge of therapeutic management and monitoring of the sick neonate.
Provides safe and effective therapeutic administration of aerosolized medications to the tracheal bronchial tree through nebulized medications and IPPB.
Job Requirements Required
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
Respiratory care services is pediatric department shall be provided by respiratory care practitioners who are licensed by the state of California and who have completed formal training in pediatric respiratory care which includes didactic and clinical experience

Preferred
One (1) year previous experience as an RCP in acute care and
Two (2) years of acute care experience, including critical care and neonatal intensive care for lead therapist positions and
Experience in pediatric mechanical ventilation and airway management for working in the pediatric sub-acute unit
