Under a licensed physician, podiatrist, registered nurse, licensed vocational nurse, a physician assistant or a qualified medical assistant. In a postsecondary or adult education program in a public school authorized by the Department of Education, in a community college program provided for in the Education Code, or a postsecondary institution accredited or approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education in the Department of Consumer Affairs.
Current and valid Venipuncture certification. Current and valid Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Skills/Competencies:Adapts to change, open to new ideas and responsibilities. Communicates well (written and verbal), delivers presentations, has good listening skills. Meets deadlines, works independently, accountable, maintains focus, punctual, good attendance record. Manages workload, works efficiently, and meets goals and objectives. Ability to work under pressure. Ability and willingness to treat all patients with the utmost kindness and consideration in the most trying situations. Accountable to team, works to meet established deliverables. Appreciates view of team members, respectful. Understanding of community based organizations. Must be alert and respect confidentiality of information of all types "general personnel, and/or patient related information." Promotes and believes in Omni's mission statement. Ability to relate to the public regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, age, sex, disability, or economic status. Responsible To: Health Center Nurse and/or Health Center Nurse II Classification: Nonexempt
