Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer The Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer will work full-time in our facility in Naas, Co. Kildare. They will work with the EHS Director in the USA and manage all aspects of Environment, Health & Safety for the Irish site. Job Description: Conduct daily EHS audits and spot checks to ensure we are compliant and following all necessary procedures and protocols Conduct EHS training with all new employees and refresher training for current employees Keep the EHS system up to date with all activity and update any policies and procedures with legislation updates as required Assist with internal audits, site visits, inspections, ISO certification audits and HSA visits where required Conduct monthly Safety Committee Meetings, take minutes and complete any actions Prepare/Review risk assessments and work instructions Investigate any EHS incidents, accidents or near misses Manage our hazardous waste and liaise with our waste providers Keep up to date and maintain a working knowledge of all Health & Safety Authority (HSA) legislation and any developments effecting the industry Take a proactive approach to EHS to ensure we are working in a safe environment Keeping SDSs and associated chemical inventories up to date Manage any ad-hoc EHS issues and duties as they arise Job Requirements: Relevant third level qualification in EHS is required Minimum 5 years work experience in EHS is desirable in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment Ability to manage EHS for the entire site with support from the Senior Management Must be hands on, able to work on own initiative and drive EHS within the organisation Excellent oral and written communication skills and organisational skills Familiarity with ISO & 45001 systems Be self-directed, adaptable and maintain a positive attitude in response to workplace change Certification to deliver Manual Handling Training and DSE/VDU Assessments is desirable Experience in writing Risk Assessments Experience in accident/incident investigations MSR-FSR is an Equal Opportunities Employer Please note we do not require the assistance of Recruitment Agencies at this time.
