Performing thorough patient evaluations, initiating diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently (based on credentials) Providing education to patients and families on preventive measures, wellness tips, and disease management strategies Prescribing appropriate medications and treatments within your scope of practice Engaging in patient follow-up and management of chronic care Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, comprehensive care Maintaining accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Certifications Needed
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Massachusetts National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within 90 days) Skills That Make You Stand Out
