Conduct thorough evaluations of patients within both inpatient and outpatient environments, crafting personalized treatment strategies. Apply physical therapy techniques centered around enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function. Collaborate closely with nurses, doctors, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. Guide patients and their families through therapeutic objectives, discharge processes, and at-home exercise regimes. Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress, adhering to both facility and regulatory standards. Engage in interdisciplinary team rounds and conferences to promote unified care. Education
A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a similar credential from an accredited institution. Certifications
Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist. Preferred certification in CPR. Additional specialized certifications (e.g., in geriatrics or neurology) are beneficial but not mandatory. Skills
Prior experience is highly desirable. A capability to treat patients with complicated medical histories and mobility challenges. Excellent communication and teamwork aptitude. Adeptness with digital charting and clinical documentation tools. Benefits
