Senior Manager,Process Improvement & Operational Analysis The Process Improvement & Operational Analysis Senior Manager will lead strategic process transformation and operational improvement initiatives across Bus ireann, enabling the organisation to operate more efficiently, consistently and effectively in support of its Horizon 28 objectives. Reporting to Chief Transformation Officer, the role will partner closely with executives and operational leaders across School Transport, Engineering & Garages, Fleet Operations, regional operations and corporate functions to evaluate, redesign and optimise critical business processes that directly impact service delivery and operational performance. This is a role with responsibility for shaping how operational processes evolve across a complex, national organisation. The successful candidate will combine analytical rigour, strategic thinking and stakeholder influence to deliver scalable, data-informed improvements that enhance organisational performance, governance, quality assurance, resilience and customer outcomes. The role will also play a critical part in supporting transformation programmes, systems thinking, operational change and the embedding of a continuous improvement culture across the organisation. This role is based in Bus ireanns Broadstone, Depot Dublin 7. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Process Transformation & Operational Excellence Leadorganisation-wideoperationalreviewsandend-to-endprocessredesigninitiativesacross School Transport, Engineering & Garages, Fleet Operations and Corporate functions. Identifystrategicopportunitiestoimproveefficiency,reducecomplexity,strengthengovernance and optimise organisational performance. Designandimplementscalable,future-stateoperatingprocessesalignedtoorganisational priorities, operational requirements and Horizon 28 transformation objectives. Driveoperationalexcellencebyembeddingstandardisation,consistencyandbestpractice across key business activities. Operational Analysis & Performance Improvement Lead detailed operational and business process analysis to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, duplication, control weaknesses and service improvement opportunities. Translatecomplexoperationalchallengesintopractical,data-drivenrecommendationsthat support executive decision-making. Developmeaningfulinsights,reportingframeworksandperformanceindicatorstoimprove operational visibility and accountability. Transformation Delivery & Change Enablement Support the successful delivery of strategic transformation initiatives, systems implementations and operational change programmes. Ensure process design supports technology enablement, operational scalability and long-term organisational resilience. Champion continuous improvement methodologies and operational excellence frameworks, to drive sustainable change. Stakeholder Leadership & Governance Partner with senior leaders, operational managers, engineering, finance and technology teams to drive alignment and successful implementation of improvement initiatives. Facilitatecross-functionalworkshops,operationaldiagnosticsandstakeholderengagementsto build consensus and support improvement process. Contribute to governance frameworks and quality assurance standards to strengthen operational control and compliance. KEY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Third-level qualification in Business, Operations Management, Systems Management (Services or Manufacturing), Engineering, Quality or related discipline. Significant experience in process transformation, operational improvement, business process re-engineering or operational analysis within large-scale operational, transport, engineering, logistics, manufacturing, utilities or infrastructure environments. A strong blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise and stakeholder leadership, with experience operating in large, complex and operationally intensive environments. Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional improvement initiatives and influencing organisational change. Strong capability in operational analysis, process redesign and translating insights into measurable business outcomes. Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across operational and corporate functions. Provenabilitytofacilitateworkshops,challengeexistingwaysofworkinganddriveadoptionof improved processes. Experience supporting enterprise transformation programmes, systems implementations or operational modernisation initiatives. Familiaritywithregulated,quality-controlledoroperationallycomplexenvironments. Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence methodologies. Experienceusingprocessmapping,workflowanalysisandbusinessreportingtools. Knowledge of governance, quality assurance and process control frameworks, including ISO environments where relevant. Excellentanalytical,communicationandstakeholdermanagementskills. Lean Six Sigma or relevant continuous improvement certification desirable. WHY JOIN BUS IREANN?
