We are now accepting applications for Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanics for Bus ireann Cork Depot with placements starting in September 2026. About the Apprenticeship As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice, you will receive top-tier technical training to maintain and repair modern public service vehicles. You will gain hands-on experience in day-to-day repairs, preventative maintenance, and advanced vehicle diagnostics. The apprenticeship consists of seven phases: three off-the-job training phases designated by SOLAS and four on-the-job training phases with Bus ireann. Minimum Entry Requirements Applicants must be at least 16 years of age Applicants must provide proof of SOLAS equivalence qualifications at the time of application Skills: Safety Engineering Mechanical heavy vehicle apprenticeship apprentices apprenticeship bus Benefits: Paid Holidays Clothing Allowance Travel Allowance
