As a per diem, nonexempt Staff Pharmacist, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain the security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy. Location: SierraVista Behavioral Healthcare is a new 92-bed hospital offering comprehensive psychiatric care for adults in Johnstown, Colorado. Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position will provide coverage for pharmacy staffing and on call, as needed. About the Pharmacy: Pharmacy hours are weekdays 8:00am-4:00pm. On call after hours, holidays, and weekends. The pharmacy utilizes HCS and Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets. Primary Responsibilities:
Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and accuracy Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens for hospitalized patients Monitor patient outcomes and medication safety, identifying and preventing adverse drug events Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring efficient and compliant workflow Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, including Joint Commission, state, and federal requirements

BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy Current Colorado Pharmacist license in good standing Experience using MS Office and pharmacy information systems Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an inpatient hospital environment Experience in mental health and/or substance abuse disorders
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.09 to $78.70 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
