Become a vital part of a hospital team in Akron, OH as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will operate CT and radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic CT scans and radiographs under indirect supervision. You will evaluate images with Radiologists, perform additional imaging as requested, assist with invasive procedures, and ensure accurate processing of patient records and procedure results in a timely manner. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or JRCERT-accredited program in Radiology. Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or CT Registry preferred. Licensed radiographer by the State of Ohio. Minimum 2 years CT technologist experience required. Client notes require 2+ years of experience and must have Level I trauma and Stroke Center experience. Epic experience within the last 12 months required. BLS/CPR certification required. Ability to administer intravenous contrast and perform positioning, patient transfers, and lifting consistent with heavy physical demands (exerting up to 50-100 pounds occasionally). Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff and to interact respectfully with diverse patient populations.
Preferred Qualifications One (1) year radiology technology experience preferred when CT registry is not held. Successful completion of additional radiology procedure training.
Assignment Details Shift hours: 1500-0130. Schedule: 4x10 block schedule with every other weekend required. No on-call or holiday coverage required. Experience required in Level I trauma and Stroke Center settings. Must be able to meet a 7-day maximum for return-to-office (RTO) requests. Interviews required; candidate availability dates/times should be provided. Use of Canon CT equipment.
