Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations, such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging. Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, providing clear and compassionate explanations at each stage. Work collaboratively with radiologists and referring providers to deliver high-quality diagnostic images. Efficiently operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any issues. Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in an electronic medical system. Keep abreast of developments in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices. Education Requirements
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field. Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred. Certifications Required
Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred. Skills Needed
Proficient technical skills in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
