Performing thorough patient evaluations, orchestrating diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care protocols Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in partnership with physicians or independently (as credentialing allows) Guiding patients and families on matters of prevention, wellness, and chronic illness management Prescribing medications and treatment plans per your scope of practice Engaging in patient follow-up and overseeing chronic care strategies Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate holistic, seamless care Ensuring comprehensive and precise documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) Qualifications You'll Need
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program Certifications Needed
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in North Carolina National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the willingness to obtain within 90 days) Attributes That Will Set You Apart
