No weekly call requirements Holiday call only, shared among department staff Key Responsibilities
Perform ultrasound examinations using established imaging protocols and techniques. Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety throughout procedures. Obtain and optimize high-quality diagnostic images. Review images for technical quality and identify normal and abnormal findings. Communicate relevant information and preliminary observations to radiologists and providers as appropriate. Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any operational concerns. Accurately document procedures and patient information. Follow all departmental, regulatory, and safety standards. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient care. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Current ultrasound certification required or eligible based on facility requirements. Previous ultrasound experience preferred. Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, sonographic principles, and imaging protocols. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
