Assists the nurse/physician during examination, treatment, and procedures as requested. Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocol. Assists with patients' discharge/admission/transfer and/or transport patients throughout the hospital as needed, Orients patient to room/routine, monitors and records patient vital signs, weight, positioning, ADLs, I/Os,acitivity, and blood glucose readings per RN instruction, hospital protocol and standards of care. Obtains specimens as directed and in accordance with hospital protocol. Demonstrates respect for the protection of patients' rights, including closing doors or curtains while providing care.
Required:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Completion of Nursing Assistant program or completion of first block of nursing school One (1) year acute care experience Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Arizona American Heart Association BLS
