Compensation Salary Range: $500,000 per year (target compensation)
Location: Brighton, MA Onsite
Position Summary
As a General Gastroenterologist in an academic-affiliated community practice, you will provide high-quality outpatient and inpatient GI care within a respected medical center. This role combines the personalized care of a community setting with access to the resources and academic environment of a leading Boston teaching hospital. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care, with opportunities for teaching and scholarly involvement.
Responsibilities
? Schedule / Shift
Shift details: Full-Time (includes rotating call coverage)
Hours per week: 40+ ? Key Duties:
Provide outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology care within a community medical center
Perform routine GI procedures including EGD and colonoscopy
Diagnose and manage a wide range of GI conditions, including GERD, liver disease, IBS, IBD, and GI bleeding
Participate in rotating inpatient coverage and on-call schedule
Collaborate with tertiary care GI teams and multidisciplinary providers for advanced cases and coordinated care Requirements
? Education
Required: MD or DO from an accredited institution ? Licenses & Certifications
Required:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
Eligibility for medical licensure in Massachusetts
? Skills:
Strong clinical expertise in gastroenterology and procedural care
Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills
Ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams
Interest in community-based practice with academic affiliation opportunities
