Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, order necessary diagnostic tests, and craft individualized care strategies Diagnose and address acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently based on your credentials Educate patients and families on preventive measures, health promotion, and management of various conditions Prescribe medications and treatments within the defined scope of practice Engage in patient follow-ups and chronic disease management Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee cohesive, holistic care Accurately document all patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR) Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Required Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Alaska National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or competency to obtain within 90 days) What Makes You Stand Out
